Class
In class today we went over Gods and Goddesses in Ancient Greece. I had a little bit of background with Gods and Goddesses before I came to JC. At my old school we did a whole unit on them and at the end we dressed up. Just like Mr. Schick said today in class. Some of the Gods and Goddesses we talked about where Posieden, Zeus, Apollo, Demeter, Afridite, Athena and many more. Mr. Schick didn't go into crazy details on the Gods and Goddesses because we know a little bit about them our self. We also went over Socrates life and trial to death. We all know Socrates story pretty well because in every unit we do he always makes his way in there some how. Its definitely not because he Mr. Schick favorite or anything. : )

Plato
Born
circa 428 B.C.E., ancient Greek philosopher Plato was a student of Socrates and
a teacher of Aristotle. Plato's impact on philosophy and the nature of humans
has had a lasting impact far beyond his homeland of Greece. His work covered a
broad spectrum of interests and ideas: mathematics, science and nature, morals
and political theory.

Three Examples of Ancient Greek Building
The Coliseum
By the
20th century, a combination of weather, natural disasters, neglect and
vandalism had destroyed nearly two-thirds of the original Coliseum, including
all of the arena’s marble seats and its decorative elements.
The Porch
of the Maidens:
better
known as Caryatids, is on the southwest side of the Erechtheum. The Maidens
hold up the top of the buildings like Columns.
Temple Concord was founded
in 1839 by German immigrants drawn to upstate New
York by the new Erie Canal. The group incorporated under the laws of
the State of New York on February 24, 1942, first took the name “Comrades of
Peace” and shortly thereafter Keneseth Shalome, which they translated in formal
English as Temple Society of Concord

Class today
In class today Mr. Schick told us about how cyber days work for the teachers. He told us how we are supposed to have at least 45 minutes of busy work. 45 minutes is a long time and a little outrageous to me. I see it being more like 20-25 minutes but 45 is longggggg. He also told us about how he kind of created cyber days, but he didn't want them to be like they are now. He really doesn't have a say now.
